The Schempfs
After the start, I walked down to the first rock garden with Wes's Dad, and his sister. I wanted them to see this technical section. I explained that Wes and Dan will likely be in the top 5. Wes's sister looked concerned at the section, "you guys are gonna ride over these rocks?" she asked. I commented, "Wes is an incredible technician, he will eat these rocks up, wait to you see how fast he comes through here" and then As Wes's Dad, Wes's Sister and I stood watching the section, this happened :

first, how could you update your blog after doing a 24hr race and then driving back home. second, i had the biggest laugh about this story and the photo. no sorries needed.
