Finally, my friend Amy was disappointed that I have not given her a nickname yet. Amy is one of the folks from the cycling community I have known for the longest. She came along just a little after I started running around with Nick and Andrew. She must have been like 17 or something. I struggled to come up with a name for her. You know I’m really impressed with how hard she works, and how good she has really gotten. Then I watched her race last week, and the name came to me like a gong in the night. “Stop Sign Amy.” That’s it. It’s got a good ring to it don’t you think? Yeah. “Stop Sign Amy.” Whatcha think?

fatmarc, maybe you could explain what the nickname means...? i mean, is amy red and does she have five or six or eight (how many does a stop sign have anyway?) sides? not gettin it, dude.
ask the girl who pushed her into a stop sign & maybe that'll explain it.
Thanks Marc. I saw that one coming. Chunky Monkey and I "stopped" abruptly on the trail last night....not like at Granogue with the stop sign that refused to move out of my way...but what did we almost run over? Two turtles humping!!! Totally ruined their groove! I snapped a picture cuz it was just too much. Even after further inspection the male (we assumed) refused to unlock his legs from the other turtle....typical mating ritual I guess.....

Every time her name comes up, my husband says, "She's hot." Ho. I mean hot. Just call her she's hot.
I think Amy is an enigma like Cher. No nickname needed. We know who she is. She is our friend, Amy.
