here's mud in my eye. The real one always ate donoughts on days like this...

Lap three I stuffed a cliff bar down, and the sky opened up first with hail, and then flat out snow. My cliff bar just stuck in my stomach, of course I usually use GU, but by going out with Dangerous Dan, I had to settle for a cliff bar from Wawa. I think Amazin' Andrew is gonna hit me next time he sees me. So I started to really suffer and feel the pain of the first two laps. The course was steadily getting worse. The mud got thicker and more peanut-buttery. Buddy and I both suffered the loss of our disc breaks. Which I thought were supposed to be perfect for these conditions? WTF !?

On lap four Buddy really opened up. Despite my good level of hydration, I was taking a lot of endurance Gatorade in; the cliff bar rock in my stomach was no good. I thought I might puke up that peanut butter goodness, much like Diane and a whiskey drink. I cracked. I was in a world of hurt. Snow was falling, and feeling in my hands, and feet was gone.
