Heading to Seven Springs Friday morning. I raced here 2 years ago and it was one of my favorite courses ever. I"m really looking forward to this race. This will likely be my last mountain bike race, as I start to focus in on cross for the fall. I love cross. I have done 16 or so 24hrs races. This team us arguably the best team I have been on. It was dreamed up by Brent (the tye domi of cross) during a long march road ride, and he bailed mid summer. I was honored to be asked to ride with these guys at all. So we are coming into the weekend with good fitness very motivated. This is gonna be a great race. Oh yeah, we have Johan (fitzy boy) coming along to manage the team during the race, and Ted logic spinning the wrenches. Diane is gonna play guitar and cook a little. I'm pretty stoked.

On the way home from the ride I saw the new ww team in the fairhill parking lot. I honked and waved when I past. I think they hate me because I'm beautiful. Or maybe because I have great sideburns. Anyway, for the record, I hold no ill will towards any of them, and I wish them well.

I have to go to Portland for work. Just so happens there is a little cross race out there when I'm gonna be in town. Can you say bonus !? So I'm gonna race in Portland and then hit my weekend meetings, take red eye home, and never skip a beat. I was dreading these meetings , but damn this might just all work out. I've loved the cross crusade web site for a long time, their series looks really fun. I'm stoked to get to do one of their races...
