Last night I couldn't sleep. Fort James had lent me a copy of the cyclocross video, "transitions". The race footage was exciting, but as soon as AHM came on like Dr. Evil petting his cat and giving an infomercial for cycle-smart, I was out like a light. Better than counting sheep. No disrespect to AHM, or cycle-smart- I have mad respect for both, but that part is a little weak. For what it's worth I've watched it 4 times. I usually fast forward to the race footage.
Tuesday Night Titans tonight. Killer group. Todd the maestro, Slick Rick, Dan the man, Paul Gasshole, Buddy the leg breaker, Matt (run forest) and me. The pace was fast, Dan took his time and slowly worked to the front of the group with Todd and Slick Rick. I was a little tired, finishing up my 4 hard efforts in 2 days, the last of my intensity before the weekend. Worse was the humidity which is like fatmarc kryptonite. Todd, Slick Rick and Dan the man joked and were conversational at the front all the while slowing killing me. I dangled 10 yards off the back most the night. Trails were nice and fast, pace was good. I definitely got what I came for. Props to Todd for a great ride. He lead a fantastic loop. Classic stuff
