The next two hours and 45 minutes were a blur of pain and agony for me. Seriously, today was one of the hardest rides I ever did. Ever. Rick and I worked well together, we fought the head wind and caught Kurtee. Good now we had three to work. The last hour and a half was just quick suffering "are we there yet?"
At one of the crossing we came upon my friend Mega (see her rad web site), I think she was surprised to see the DE boys in her neck of the woods. Frankly at first I thought I was hallucinating that I saw her, I mean what are the odds? I'm guessing at this point we must have looked rough.
Mega : "so how long you been out?"
Tres Amigos : " almost 5 hours."
Mega : " that's a little excessive isn't it ?"
Tres Amigos ; " yes, we think so"
Mega : "I got 4 bike pods I could drive you back?"
res Amigos: "nope, gotta finish this up."
God damn pride spoiling everything again. And so 45 minutes later, we finally made it to the parking lot, where we laid on our backs in the parking lot for 20 minutes or so. Epic ride indeed.
Saturday night went to dinner with Diane. On the way out we drove past Andrew's place, I saw his truck, we honked, but my guess was he was inside resting to do another 7 hours tomorrow. Sick bastard. Diane and I went to Café Napoli. This is the real fucking deal of Italian restaurants in this area. F- Bertucchi's that place sucks. I had penne carbonara it was outstanding. Diane had Shrimp Scampi, also outstanding. No More chain Italian restaurants.

Cafe Napoli is my favorite restuarant. The real deal. In fact tonight for dinner we reheated the penne a la putenesca that Jen doggie bagged out on Thursday; still a good meal. Trick of the trade at Cafe Napoli is you order one salad and one entre. You still get more than enough to eat AND they even split the servings up for you.

Marc,
The ride sounds RAD. Did you happen to ask Meg for more frequent updates to her cool site?
