Epilogue:
At some point during the race, when things looked really good for us, Matt says to me, “marc, sometimes I think about all the weird hard, suffering races you have gotten me into, I don’t know whether to give you a hug or punch you in the face” yeah, I feel the same way about myself sometimes. I hope from reading this report, or if you follow my blog you feel how much love I have for my Spot Brand, and Secret Henry’s teammates. I’ll be honest; none of the Spot Brand Guys are super stars. In fact most days we are barely competent. We are a band of some dudes, just like everyone else. We are not very talented, not very bright, and some days, we are pretty damn awful. But what I know is this, we are tight, and in tough situations we know we can count on each other, we know that none of us wants to let our family down. We work ridiculously hard for each other, harder than we would for ourselves. We call this “pulling through” In the end, That’s why I feel our team is so special, that’s why I love these silly endurance races. That’s why I love my team.
