One Sweet World...

Slick Rick laid down the law at all the cross practices this year.

With sadness, I rolled into cross practice for the last time for this year. the Northern Delaware Cross Coalition of Delaware, comprised of 10 teams all located in a 10 mile radius, gathered for our last practice. We started in early September when it was sunny and warm. Last night we practiced in the cold, wet, and the dark. For many, their seasons will end this weekend at Fairhill as the regional season come to a close. For others, we'll head to providence looking to test our mettle against the best and the brightest in the country. Cyclocross racing is by far my favorite kind of racing, not what I am best at, just my favorite. So with great excitement I prepare myself for my final 4 races. But last night, I worked with a bit of sorry in my mind, for then end of cross for 2005, is quickly approaching.

Rick's photo reminds me of a classic scene from the movie A Christmas Story. Randy (Ralph's little brother)says "MMMMoMMMMM, MMmmMMMmmMM" Mom:"what is it Randy?" Randy:"I can't put my arms down!"
