Andrew-
I have to take a minute to talk a little about Andrew. I have so much respect for this guy.
At age 54, Andrew was 14 years the senior of the 2nd oldest competitor in our class, and yet he turned more than competitive laps against our field. A week ago he didn't even know he was going to be racing. Single Speed Dan got sick, and Andrew really stepped up to the plate for us. 7 days ago Andrew was riding his blur, not his rigid single speed. And here he is ripping the rocky, technical single track of WV on his rigid single. This guy is one of the toughest riders I know. I count myself lucky to have him as a training partner, as a peer, as a friend.

In the end, we were the 10th fastest team in the race. Matt ended up with 2 laps in the 20 fastest for rigid/single speeders (1:20,1:22), and all 5 laps under 1:30, Buddy ended with 5 laps all averaging about 1:25. He was not happy his first 2 laps and really suffered through, but from my standpoint he got stronger each lap. It was really a credit to his mental toughness how he got better through out the race. His 5th lap was a 1:25. Me, I had the 3rd fastest lap in the class, (1:16), and put in 4 laps. It was a good race.

All in All I was really proud of our team. I am lucky to have such great people around me.
