Had a great ride at white clay today. The combination of a great group, and frankly just being hungry to be back in the woods, added up for a great ride. This was my first ride of the week, with getting shots and pussying out yesterday, I had a ton of fun, and frankly was really pleased with how I rode. Look I'm no where near being in shape, but over the past 3 weeks, I've been trying to get some time in the saddle, just so I wouldn't feel so retarded when I rode. Today was the pay off for some of the work. It was good. And tomorrow, I start my base. Yeah boy, good to be training again...
Buddy was freaking riding out of his mind today. He is coming out of his base phase and really has great fitness. As he begins to fine tune, I expect he's gonna make a big impact. Proud of the work he has put in...
Early on Todd and Buddy were pushing it hard at the front. Although I would have loved to see how that played out, it would have likely meant a split in the group. Todd was not feeling so social and attacked off the front and away. We caught him as he was changing a flat. Todd exclaimed, "Don't wait for me; I wasn't waiting for you." Hmm, someone needed some more sugar in their coffee this morning. Back in the parking lot all was good.
