School and Politics

School rambles on at a hearty pace. Midterm exam coming up on Monday. My last class for 2012.  Feels good to say that. I’ve been studying a lot. Managerial Finance has been very interesting, and I really like the professor. We missed a class because of the super storm and the last session was rushed. I’ll admit that’s got me a little worried. I’ve been working the problems a ton. I can do them frontwards and back. One set however is breaking me. I understand the concept, and do lower level problems, but pulling together the long term retirement plan, with multiple cash flows and combined TMV functions, I am failing.

I have reached out to the professor, I haven’t heard back from him. I don’t think I’ll be able to make it into his office hours until Monday. Yeah, a few hours before the exam. It’ll work out. I’m sure if I can walk through a couple of problems, I’ll make it work.

Okay, here’s my election analysis.  The red guys tricked themselves into believing that everyone who listens to Rush, Hannity and Fox News believed exactly what they do, felt what they do. I have to admit, I listen to Rush- I don’t really believe he believes half the shit that comes out of his mouth. On the other side, the blue guys were much more open to a much broader and diverse set of views, set of who was under the tent.  It just feels like they reflect the makeup of our country so much more so. That’s why I feel like the blue guys won. FWIW Nate Silver is probably living the best life in the world right now.

Okay, last time I talk politics here, Maddow kinda nailed it here:

God Bless America.
Best to you all.
