Riley News, the darkest place; State College...

Patches.. I mean Riley finally chilling at home

Thanks for all of the encouragement...

Riley is home, and still wobbly, but home. The vet is really happy with his progress and it was great to have him finally home. Diane and I took shifts of sitting on the couch with him. He looks a little funny as he has huge bald stops from were they gave him and MRI, Surgery, the heart monitor. We may have to re-name him patches. We're not out of the woods yet, but it's good to have him home.

Hi Marc,
My wife is wondering what happened to Riley, what with all of the surgery?
Oh, and I noticed one of your wifes Guitar effects on the coffee table, the vintage versions of that particular effect are legendary and tremendous, Ha! I play also, have a bitchin old amp and a few guitars, I jam with my 13 year old daughter who is become the next kick ass drummer. I have some vintage effects that just rule.
good luck with the pooch, I hope he comes around.

growing up we had a Beagle named patches

tonight one of my dogs was trying to talk
not sure what he was saying
but it was funny
as my older son had never heard him do anything but bark
different barks
but never the dog talk

we stopped reading our book and talked with Roscoe

not sure if we learned what he was trying to say

but all of our efforts got Roscoe to move from one twin bed to Dean's twin bed

then got back to the book

it is fun to see my sons bond with my dogs

usually they just knock my kids over trying to get at the milkman
