010: Granogue thanks again...

Hello.

My name is Fatmarc.

I've been know to shoot off my mouth from time to time, and to fire out my thoughts on the world on more than one occasion. I am fortunate enough to belong to an amazing cycling community, a wonderful team, and to be supported by so many friends and family. My cycling family is a part of my family.

Sometimes my jackassery, and vocal stance may get me in trouble with folks.

My use of the term vampire may have put some of you off.

My bite is truly worse than my bark. I am a jackass for sure. I also 100% believe that if you love something, like the sport of cycling, and you partake in it, you have a responsibility to give back . If you don't give back somewhere, you kinda aren't playing the same game. I think you really are missing out on something special. Some people love vampire movies... not me.

If you love this sport, find a place to contribute. There's a ton of opportunities out there...
But I digress, aside from learning that making lists is a really bad idea, I also had it reaffirmed for me these last few weeks and culminating in the weekend what I already knew: we have a great community. We had folks from numerous programs busting their tails to help pull off what was one of the best Granogue Mountain bike races ever. Thanks to the 50+ volunteers that helped pull this thing together...

I feel like we get better at this each time, and certainly we were fortunate enough to have perfect weather this year. After last year's muddy suckfest, I won't complain about a little heat.

I'd also like to thank the 93 runners, 110 tour riders, 12 MTB Time Trialist and the 541 xc and enduro riders that came out to race our race this weekend. There were a lot of other events this weekend, you could have been anywhere in the world and you chose to hang with us. We are honored that you picked us.

As a bonus score, our event this weekend helped the Hera Ovarian Cancer Foundation raise over $4000. High five!

Thanks to everyone for helping make this happen.

Thank you for Supporting the Granogue Events.

best to you all , yup even the vampires.

much respect.
