L-Web and I worked on the race bible. Similar to last year with some subtle changes. How'd we do ? You should come. YOU SHOULD. Don't want to race, that's cool, hang out, support HERA, work the kids race, celebrate life. It's always a great day.
my underwear is fitting funny. Monkey usually buys me medium old navy boxers. They fit nice around the waist, acting a little like a girdle, and prevent chaffing in a sensitive area. However, recently she picked up some AE mediums that aren't working out. I have to fold down the waist to make sure the waist isn't up by my nipples, but my legs are too big for these mediums and the bottoms of the boxers creep up over my thighs, creating a very uncomfortable mankini/wedgie combo. very unpleasant. I think I should go back to commando.

Checked out the reg page. Don't think I'll be racing, not near any condition for that. Have to decide if I should show up to check it out, don't know how many people would be happy to see me (nor am I sure if I want too many people I know to see me until I'm down a few pounds.) Best wishes on the event though. It's great to remember and honor Andrew's legacy that way. I think he'd be very proud. Keep those wheels turnin'.
Been going commando for the last 4 years. Love it. Free as a bird. Some ladies dig it.....some don't.

Curious if the Plaque for experts is a M.A.S.S. thing. It seems to me a plaque is worth just about nothing. We need Merch. Even Something a small a inner tube is more useful than a plaque. Enduor SS get merch but Enduro get plaque. That is a lot of miles and training for that. I guess all in all it is Beer league Softball, But Shit no beer. Is that going to be strictly enforced?
Bike Liners contribute to granogue too, even though I fall in a few of those other categories. JW had a whole section of trail last year :)

Plaques have always been the tradition at granogue. The overwhelming majority love these prizes vs getting an old tire, or a box of hammer gel. Not that those aren't great prizes, but in the end bike parts go fast, the plaque, while perhaps worthless to you are something most folks will look back on and remember the race, their accomplishment, and the day. As a promoter, that's a prize that keeps on giving, and more than I can ask for.
Last year when we put up our bikereg there were only 2 categories for enduro, men and women. We ordered plaques. Closer to the event the MASS directors let me know we were also doing a 45+ and a single speed class, it was too late to have plaques made so we gave prizes to those other classes. I have corrected the list and they will get plaques this year.
as far as beer goes, this race is on a private estate, and in past years the level of drinking has become greatly elevated. I will not risk the future of the event by allowing a further escalation of drinking on the estate. We are guests, I want to be the best guests we can be. That is to saying nothing of the liability issues that I choose to not subject myself, our hosts anyone helping to bring this race to fruition.
Hope that makes sense to you, This race is about celebrating a friend, and having fun. I hope you come out and have fun. Sorry if you hate the plaque, we do offer a nice cash class to race in...

The race bible is a classic. Sounds like a great event. Wish I could make it but it's a bit of a hike for me.

I love this race! Thanks for including the 10 & under kids race. Hey, can I register for that? I might have a chance. Those old ladies in sport class 35+ are tough. Thanks for putting on such a great event!
Okay, I'm thankful for such a good race. When I began going to races, being awarded the prize table helped make racing a little more worth while. Personally I have a hard time with all the expenses that go along with racing and so little things go long way. I don't have much sentimental value for such. But I can understand cherishing a token of one sucess. I think at the expert level, most already have had their fair share of that stuff, but that is just my opinion. Thanks again and see you out there. There needs to be a token for those that double up that weekend. With Granogue and Michaux
