214: whenever you see fit

So Friday morning the emails were flying around the DCCoD list. This isn't totally unusual, but the choices are usually a mtb ride or a road ride. With Friday's deluge, the choices for road rides were all over the board:

1. Tom (papa smurf's) fixed gear ride from A.I. (does the idea of Tom on a fixed gear scare anyone else ?)

2. Buddy the Keg Breaker's ride out of his house. His house is tucked in a valley, no matter which way you go, it's a leg breaking climb. Loops around his house are just brutal.

3. The White Glove of Saron Ride: let a guy named Steve, who chose to spend all night out hiking in the Adirondacks last weekend, almost freezing the ends of his fingers off. Oh, yeah that will be an easy loop...

4. Jan's tour de Port Deposit. This is the ride description "this is not any easy ride, will hit the hills hard, there are some steep hills on this loop."

Wow. that was a lot of road choices. I admit, I was pretty scared.

K-man commented, "man, we really need to get organized, there's too many rides going all over the place."

Jan replied, "Choices are good, lots of different rides, good paces, something for everyone"
Shortly there after, the German consulate called and Jan's German citizenship was revoked.

Tom (papa Smurf) provided the voice of reason. "We have to post all the rides so Dan DDUB can ride them all."

I laughed out loud.
props to DDub. That's respect.

There is never enough rides to go around. Especially when there can be so many different needs to be filled.
