Okay here we go...

So 2 weeks ago I gave an award in honor of my friend Andrew. Joel was the winner of the award. Joel directed me to his blog. Which I thought was very cool. It became a regular stop for me on my daily surfing trips. So I copied Joel on a story I shared with some friends, and Joel responded that I should set up a Blog. So I did. And this is it. So okay here we go.

BTW I have posted the story I sent to Joel and others below:
Diane and I sit at a local brewery, enjoying some drinks and a plate ofnachos. I call it self-medicating. We are holding hands, and having anice conversation. We touch our knuckles together as our hands arelying next to each other…
Diane exclaims “Wonder Twins Powers Activated… Shape of a Water Fall!”
I calmly reply, “you can’t be a water fall.”
Diane looks puzzled, “why?”
Me, the comic book geek, kicks it, “Look, Zan was the male wonder twinand Jayna was the female wonder twin. Jayna had the ability to turninto different animals, although they were all purple. I think anobvious Prince reference. Now Zan, the male, he could only turn intoliquids. So when he needed to be tough, he’s usually turn intosomething ice…
Diane “so why can’t I be a waterfall”
Me “well, unless you are a transsexual wonder twin, you’d be Jayna,and you’d turn into purple animals, not liquids…”
Diane “Shape of an Ice monkey!!”
Me “ YOU CAN”T BE AN ICE MONKEY !”Diane “Why not !?”ME “you just not getting this or you trying to just piss me off?”
Diane smiles like a chesire cat “shape of an ice bridge..”
ME “ great, I’m married to a transsexual wonder twin… I need anotherdrink…”

Got back from the doctor’s today. She said “you have a mound of strained muscles in your lower back, and the pain shooting down yourleg is your sciatic nerve.” “I’m gonna give you some high gradeanti-inflammatories and a month of Physical Therapy. They’ll tell youwhen you can ride your bike again.” Hmmm few things went through myhead. First, “what I’m not getting any muscle relaxers or narcotics out of this ?” and Second “ WTF a month off the bike !? can I get a week credit for the week I’ve been off already, you know like time severedor something ?” and finally is “mound” a technical term describing myback ? Yikes… Have to be patient….

I was woken up this morning by a phone call from my mother in law. She was excited to tell me that there was an article in the local paperabout single speeding, and how popular it has gotten. I was grateful for the call, it was nice of her to tell me about it. I fell back tosleep terrified at what the world would become.

I am going to the district championships for cross next week. No, I won’t be racing but my friends kid, Jeff (he’s 10) needs a ride andI’ll take him, because, well it’ll be fun, and it’ll keep me from getting fatter. Been gaining a ½ pound a day since I’ve been on the bench, not counting of course Thanksgiving’s gluttony. There’s a pool going around betting how long before I qualify for Clydesdales. Yikes. Finally, I need some help. Music sucks now. I can’t find anything newthat is really interesting me… Can I get some suggestions? I have ofheard TV on the radio ? I got the new U2 and it’s okay, I got theNirvana box set, and that is cool, but that’s not really new. Oh yeah,I’m almost done really the Cliff bar guys book. Interesting but a little preachy. I need something good to listen to. Please help me.
